Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them. – Isaiah 42:10
OA Oceania recognizes the work of the Holy Spirit in the Pacific islands and are actively engaging in church planting and ministry to continue the work of the gospel in the region.
Christianity was introduced to the Pacific Islands by European missionaries in the 18th and 19th centuries, and it quickly gained popularity among the islanders. Today, the majority of Pacific Islanders identify as Christian, with various denominations represented.
However, with many people in the Pacific Islands who identify as Christian but also practice elements of traditional beliefs or incorporate local customs and traditions into their religious practices, OA Oceania churches will continue to do the work of the Great Commission that still needs to be done.
